LIFE magazine has some really great shots online that were never published from 1969. They did an article back then about the legalization of Marijuana, and over 40 years later, people are still having the same argument.
The black and white photographs by Co Rentmeester are shot near the Mexican and American Border with U.S. Customs agents. CHECK OUT MORE HERE
A little bit ago we teamed up with Citizens Committee for New York City, Base Brooklyn, Animal Bikes, 5050 Skatepark, and all of the local riders to help rebuild Mullaly Skatepark in The Bronx, NY.
Check out a few pics that Tristan Smith shot on our rebuilding day in the hot summer sun. CLICK RIGHT HERE!
Emmanuel Torres aka Eman has a bunch of really awesome photos from The Bronx up on THE LAST PEOPLE. It also has a audio piece with Emmanuel talking as the photos go through. You should def check them out, they are all really great including this one of Casio riding around wearing a wig. haha
The Occupy Wall Street Movement has been going steady for a month now in Lower Manhattan, with people from all walks of life joining in to give their support. Above is a video of Tom Morello from Rage Against the Machine performing a song at the park.
I also ran into Cult rider Russ Barone at the protest who is camping out with his girl and supporting the Occupy Wall Street Movement.
There are all types of people down there from Union constuction workers, bankers, hippies, lawyers, skaters, punks, street kids, cops, military vets, artists, musicians, activists, and anyone else you can imagine. I suggest going down for yourself if you are anywhere in the area.
Below are some more shots I took down at Zuccoti Park.
I am a big fan of cool GoPro camera videos and exploring crazy stuff, although I am not a big fan of heights, and there is now way you would ever see me doing this. Check out these wild kids from somewhere in Russia maybe? that climb this crazy tall bridge with just their regular clothes on and no climbing equipment.
They also have a blog with a bunch of really amazing photos from all over their city. CHECK IT OUT HERE
We had our first jam to benefit Mullaly Park yesterday. We all met up in Lil Cali and had a great time and made some money to help the park out! Thank you to everybody that helped out yesterday, hung out, bought a raffle ticket, did a feeble grind or whatever. We had a really great turn out and a ton of fun.
Expect another benefit soon!
Stevy Bronx came out to help and has a huge amount of pics from the event up on his site already ANOTHER CLASSIC.COM
Brian Barnhartt has some really awesome photos from a couple of trips that him and Grady took down to Austin to escape the New York winters. Austin is basically the best place you can imagine for riding in the winter months, it has perfect weather, lots of trails, street, ramps, and a fun party scene at night as well. Check them out the pics from their adventure on THE LAST PEOPLE
Vince Smith came to NYC last weekend with his buddy Frankie Lang to ride and have a good time. Even though Amtrak lost their bikes and they missed two days of riding, we still got to shred some spots, and party all over the city. I have some clips of Vince, Frankie, and their friend Cole Evelev who lives down in LES hitting up some BX spots, and will have a short lil edit soon.
Vince managed to run over some glass and had to fix a flat real quick at Mullaly.
Frankie and Cole got down on some shaved ice at Mullaly. It has been crazy hot this summer, good thing these ice guys are all over the place.
There were a load of Photographers on hand for the events at the Bicycle Film Fest Street Party this year. One of them was Hallie Easley, who snapped off a bunch of great shots. I have a few of them below, and go to HER SITE to see more.
I am going to be in a group photo show this Sunday in Astoria, Queens. It is being put on by the EMERGING ARTISTS CONNECT. I will have a few shots up, along with a bunch of other photographers. There is also live music so it should be a good time!
